I’m looking to rent a studio apartment or granny unit in the Sonoma, Petaluma, Cotati/Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, or Santa Rosa area. My price range right now is between $400 - $500/mo to afford. What I’m looking for is a cute, little place for myself and my cat that is either in the country or city limits, but offers some privacy. I love to write and do a lot of film edting and video work, and just don’t like an overabundance of noise. Also, would need internet access for work purposes.
A Little About Me:
27 y/o male, clean, easy going and friendly. I work full-time and bartend every other weekend, also am an independent filmmaker (love and model my work after ‘Hitchcock’), as well as run my own digital video/editing business, so I often travel for work as well. I like to keep busy and when I’m not working or being a filmmaker, I love to garden, hike, work out, swim, and love photography, go antique (window) shopping, and enjoy the outdoors. I’m responsible, enjoy a good glass of wine but no problems with drinking, and LOVE to cook!
A Little About Tigger:
Tigger is my baby. He’s a 3 y/o tab (think Garfield) who is clean, well-mannered and sweet. He’s been nuetered, chipped, and is box-trained. If a litter box is an issue, he’s can also go in/out.
A Little About Why I’m looking For A Place:
Last year I separated from my partner and moved out of the house and moved back home in southern CA (also to help with famliy matters) and in January came back up to the bay area. I landed a great job where I am now training in management and bartend for a friend’s bar for the extra money (gas money mostly - can you believe the prices???) so with landing a job right away, moved in with a friend who had moved back home to help his mom not lose her house that went into forclosure. I moved in too to help and needed a place right away. Now, I would like a nice, inexpensive place of my own now that I am on my feet and have been here a few months. My credit is not the best…I am recovering from some financial downfalls after my separation and relocation last year that left me behind, but am catching up and thus looking for an inexpensive place to call home, and still get caught up.
I am looking for long-term, and don’t mind becoming a part of the regular “household” or can just remain a “tenant” and see everyone when rent is due or in passing. I love animals and am great with kids - love gardening and can help around the house, farm, yard, property, what have you (again, LOVE to cook). I just want something nice and cozy, furnished or unfurnished (I have my own furnishings, but pickers can’t be choosers and have a storage unit) around good, friendly, open-minded (or artsy) people or family. I resepct others’ privacy and belongings, and only ask for the same, but also will give and help anyone and everyone.
If you have something or a space to rent out, and I sound like someone you’d enjoy having around and/or renting to, I’d love to chat! My anticipated move date would be June 1st…could do sooner if I can make the deposit in payments…and when I say “estimated”, I mean the date I WANT TO MOVE BY! LOL
